5 DAY BASIC S.W.A.T. COURSE

March 29-April 2, 2010

This 5 day CLEET accredited 50 hour course will cover all the basic topics an operator should know. This will be a hard charging class! Come prepared for long training days and to learn! Classroom time will be limited you will be TRAINING. Active participation will be mandatory. You will be expected to participate and to learn. Required Equipment:

Helmet
2 NFDD’s Per Agency
Primary Shoulder Weapon w/Sling & 3 Magazines
Hydration System
Handgun w/holster & 3 Magazines
Any range appropriate gear
Vest
Flashlight
Gas Mask
Weapon Cleaning Equipment
Goggles
1000 rounds handgun ammunition
Eye & Ear Protection
IF bringing a shotgun: 100- 00 Buck, 50 Slugs, 25 birdshot
Assault Vest or LBE
Minimum 750 rounds for Primary Shoulder weapon

INSTRUCTOR: Rich Johnson, former Lieutenant for the Clovis NM Police Department, now currently employed by the U.S. Government. Johnson has been involved in over 400 ACTUAL tactical operations during his police career. He started with his agency’s SWAT team as a “trailer” and moved up to positions of entry, sniper, sniper element leader, and now serves as team leader. He is a dynamic and hard charging instructor, very knowledgeable in the arena of police tactical operations.

COURSE TUITION: $625.00 per student. Students attending may stay free of charge at the BadLands dormitory. Dormitory is over 7500 Sq feet of floor space and has fully operational kitchen, and shower facilities. Students will need to bring a cot, sleeping bag, and toiletry items.
